Hoses, like fire extinguishers, are a first line of defense in fire fighting. They are suitable for Class A fires.
They provide an efficient and continuous method of extinguishing, as long as the hose reel is supplied with water, giving us a means to combat the fire. Hose reels are now mandatory in all new constructions.
Removing the hose is dependent on opening the water supply.
